A manhunt has been initiated for six armed robbers who were captured on CCTV while committing a robbery at Pircy Farm in Goromonzi.
The incident occurred on Sunday, where the suspects made off with approximately US$3,000 and various other valuables.
The robbers, armed with machetes and pistols, gained access to the property by cutting through a fence in the backyard. They entered the kitchen through an open door and attacked the farm owners. In addition to the cash, the thieves stole clothes, two speakers, three cellphones, laptops, jewelry, groceries, and three firearms. Fortunately, the firearms—two shotguns and a pellet gun—were later recovered in the backyard of the farm.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi has urged the public to assist in the investigation by providing any information related to the suspects. The police have released images of the robbers, showcasing their faces and clothing as captured by the CCTV cameras. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the National Complaints Desk or report to the nearest police station.
