Police in Masvingo, Zimbabwe, have made a significant bust, recovering 5.5 kg of marijuana from a Harare-bound bus at Mushagashe tollgate along the Harare-Beitbridge highway.
Two suspected drug peddlers, Rashi Makore (47) and Modest Hove (45), were arrested after detectives from the Drugs and Narcotics section received a tip-off about the illicit cargo.
The duo had a combined 5.5 kg of dagga worth ZiG10 000, with Makore carrying 1.7 kg and Hove carrying 3.8 kg. The police intercepted the bus around 4 am, and a search led to the recovery of the drugs and the subsequent arrest of the suspects.
