King Charles Cuts Prince Andrew’s $1.3 Million Royal Allowance

South African Correspondent

King Charles has officially terminated Prince Andrew’s estimated $1.3 million annual allowance and has instructed that his brother’s private security costs be stopped, signaling a significant shift in their already strained relationship.

According to Charles III: New King. New Court, author Robert Hardman highlights the monarch’s determination to financially distance himself from Andrew, directing the Keeper of the Privy Purse to cease the funds. This decision follows Charles’s earlier directive for Andrew to vacate the Royal Lodge, a lavish 30-room estate in Windsor.

Despite this, Andrew has shown resistance to moving to Frogmore Cottage, a much smaller residence that was previously home to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Sources indicate that had Queen Elizabeth II lived longer, she likely would have insisted that Andrew make the move.
