Harare resident Pamhidzai Tapfumaneyi, 53, claims she’s experiencing terrifying supernatural events, including auditory harassment, unseen sexual assaults, and snake attacks.
“These disturbances started after I visited an apostolic church in 2019, following the tragic loss of four of my children,” Tapfumaneyi recounts.
“I sought comfort, but instead, I was drawn into satanism.”
Her husband, a truck driver, had passed away in 2015. The church community initially provided solace, but soon turned sinister.
“A voice whispers explicit and threatening things, saying
‘I want to have sex with you’ or ‘have sex with your son’,” Tapfumaneyi describes.
“It happens whenever I’m alone and even in public.”
She claims to experience physical violations in her dreams and public places.
“I feel my genitals being licked by something invisible… I see a huge snake coiling around my waist.”
Tapfumaneyi denies any mental illness.
“I refuse hospital checks because I don’t have an illness,” she asserts, convinced her experiences are supernatural.
Neighbours describe her as mentally stable and interactive. The accused church member’s phone went unanswered.
