Nees Names Warriors Squad For AFCON 2025 Qualifiers Against Namibia

Warriors Head Coach Michael Nees has officially announced the squad for the upcoming Group J Matchday 3 and 4 AFCON 2025 Qualifiers against Namibia.

The matches are set to take place at Orlando Stadium in South Africa, as both Zimbabwe and Namibia currently lack CAF-certified stadiums for international fixtures.

The first match will be hosted by Namibia on October 10 at 3 PM, followed by Zimbabwe’s return fixture four days later at the same venue.

“We are looking forward to these crucial matches,” Nees stated.

“The players have been working hard, and we believe we have a strong squad to compete effectively.”

Captain Marvelous Nakamba makes a welcome return to the squad after recovering from injury, alongside Divine Lunga, who is also back in action.

“Having Nakamba back is a huge boost for us,” Nees added. “His experience and leadership will be invaluable on the pitch.”

To strengthen the forward line, Terrence Dzvukamanja has been selected, while Martin Mapisa joins the goalkeeping ranks. Additionally, Brendan Galloway returns to enhance the defensive options.

“We are confident that these players will bring depth and quality to our team,” Nees remarked.
