State to Assist in Funeral for Five Bindura Girls

Five young girls from Bindura, tragically killed after being run over by a vehicle on Saturday, have been granted a State-assisted funeral.

The girls, who belonged to the same extended family, were supposed to bw laid to rest yesterday at Makusha Cemetery.

Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister, Christopher Magomo, along with other government officials and Zanu PF representatives, visited the bereaved families to offer their condolences.

In his heartfelt message, Minister Magomo expressed the profound sorrow felt across the region, stating,

“A dark cloud has fallen over Mashonaland Central. The loss of innocent and young souls is an unfathomable pain that resonates deeply within our community.”

The tragic incident has sparked discussions about road safety and the need for increased awareness to protect vulnerable pedestrians, especially children.

Local leaders are calling for measures to ensure safer roads and better traffic management in residential areas to prevent such heartbreaking occurrences in the future.

As the community mourns, support for the families affected by this tragedy is pouring in, highlighting the importance of solidarity in times of grief.
