New Awards and Categories
The changes include the addition of seven new awards and the renaming of some existing ones, such as “Outstanding Upcoming” in the Visual Arts and Music Awards categories . This change aims to provide recognition to artists who have been producing work for years but are only now gaining recognition.

Music Awards Category
The Music Awards category has been updated to include “Outstanding Music Group,” which was previously missing. This change aims to provide recognition for music groups like choirs and duos who were previously overlooked.

Media Awards
The Media Awards are now under the Special Awards category, as it was perceived to be more of an honorary accolade rather than competitive due to the nature of creativity.

Submission Process
The submission process has been updated, with CDs and DVDs no longer accepted due to technological advancements. Memory sticks or links are now the preferred format.

Eligibility and Submission Period
The NAMA 2024 edition will consider works of art produced from December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, and the submission period is now open. Zimbabwean nationals or those with resident status are encouraged to apply, either online or by visiting the NACZ offices.

New Website
Nyanhi also announced that NACZ is working on a revamped website, set to launch on September 1, 2024, which will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their mandate.
