Bosso, DeMbare Win

Bulawayo side Highlanders Football Club thrashed the Miracle Boys, Yadah Football Club, at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday cloudy afternoon.

Bosso won by 3 goals to nil while Harare giants, now seated on the second position, won by 2 unanswered goals in a battle for Harare.

The Gamecocks, Chicken Inn still rule the roost.

In form Lynoth Chikuhwa was on target for Bosso as Nqobizitha Masuku found the back of the net scoring his fifth for the season.

Super sub Washington Navaya came off the bench and scored the third goal for the Bulawayo giants making it 3-0 in the second half.

It was a clean sheet for Bosso goalkeeper and captain Ariel Sibanda. Mandla ‘Lulu’ Mpofu coached side climbed the ladder to an unfamiliar 10th position on the log table.

Meanwhile in the capital, it ended in tears for the Sunshine City Boys, Harare City after they lost by 2-0 in a Harare derby against Dynamos FC.

The Glamour Boys easily cruised over Harare City FC with goals from Godknows Makarati and Brendan Mpofu.

Makarati opened the scoring for the Harare giants with a header from a Godknows Murwira freekick.

Brendan Mpofu came off the bench to double DeMbare’s lead, assisted by the Prince Edward High School youngster Bill Antonio in the 65th minute.

In another match Cranborne Bullets came from behind to beat WhaWha 3-1 at Ascot stadium. WhaWha was ahead through Jayden Barake before Callum English Brown conceded an own goal. Kingsley Mureremba and Tadiwa Chibunyu then scored in the second half to seal the victory for the Bullets. Butho Phiri pulled one back for WhaWha but it wasn’t enough as the damage had already been inflicted.

Manica Diamonds dropped to fourth position after being held to a goalless draw by Norman Mapeza coached side FC Platinum.
