In a sickening act of barbarism, a group of female teenagers allegedly subjected an older female victim to an excruciating ordeal, striping her naked, violently beating her with switches, and thrusting sticks into her most intimate areas.

The teenagers are reported to have recorded the abhorrent aggravated incident on video, which has since circulated on social media.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of five individuals, namely Vimbai Mike (19), Rudo Manjere (17), Lilly Rose Munyoro (16), Lillian Chido Munyoro (17), and Sandra Vhumbunu (17), in relation to an aggravated indecent assault case which occurred at Mupfuuri Village in Wedza on July 4th, 2024.

Investigations conducted by the ZRP uncovered that on the 4th of July at approximately 11 am, Rudo Manjere, Lilly Rose Munyoro, and Lillian Chido Munyoro orchestrated a ploy to entice the victim, Mavis Mada, to the homestead of Vimbai Mike in Mupfuuri Village.

Under the guise of gifting her with vegetable seedlings, the suspects succeeded in luring Mavis to their location.

Once there, they reportedly locked her in a hut and proceeded to strip her naked, exposing her to their diabolical intentions.

In a sickening display of barbarism, the five teenagers are alleged to have taken turns in beating the victim with switches and brutally inserting three sticks into her private parts while recording their heinous acts.

The heinous torture by the assailants reached new depths as they forced their victim to endure this sadistic abuse, eventually rendering her unconscious.

After hours of merciless torment, the teens are reported to have doused the victim with water before leaving her in a state of utter desolation, naked and vulnerable.

The matter was reported to the police.

Upon a comprehensive investigation conducted by the Police, the arrest of the five suspects led to the retrieval of a Vivo cellphone which was used to record the horrific events of that day.

Vimbai Mike remains in police custody, while the four underage suspects were released into the custody of their parents, pending further legal proceedings.

Mavis Mada, the victim of the despicable attack, is said to be currently receiving medical care at Mount St Mary’s Hospital, and is, thankfully, alive.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police implores the public to settle disputes amicably without resorting to violence. The law will take its course in this case without fear or favour,” said the National Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi in a statement issued yesterday.
