FIRST CHILDHOOD MEMORY….
I always see myself singing one-word songs I would create from just out of nowhere 😂😂😂🙌🏽,l remember my sister hated those. I would sing them aloud disturbing everyone’s peace at home Kkkk…
FIRST CHILDHOOD IDOL……
It’s Michael Jackson. I don’t wanna lie, immediately after watching some of his music videos and that famous movie when he was friends with a Whale, we had to go outside with my friends and call ourselves Michael Jackson and of course, try some of his moves( kkkk)…
MY FIRST MUSIC HERO…..
For me, it was Kanda Bingo man and his dress sense. I adored the man such that I cried compelling my parents to buy me clothes that looked exactly like his and I would then actually go and ask the MC at events I went to for him to include me in the program so I could dance like Kanda bongo man.
MY FIRST INSTRUMENT….
It’s a flute that my dad bought me. I remember l would wake everyone up whenever I started playing it as soon l woke up. This however invited a couple of smacks……kkk
MY FIRST SCHOOL…
It’s one institution that is very dear to me. It’s called Amaswazi Primary School. This is also the same school my sister went to. It’s located in Pumula North, Bulawayo.
MY FIRST BEST FRIEND….
It’s Cedric Fraser. We were in the same class and both of us were dominating group 1 no matter which test we wrote we always maintained our position and seats in group 1. We even started a business of selling biscuits in class and later share the profits made. We were serious think tanks.
MY FIRST HEARTBREAK…
This happened in my late teens after discovering an escapade that took place between a friend of mine and my girlfriend, this tore me up from within, I don’t think my life was ever the same after that 😩…
MY FIRST TIME CRYING AS AN ADULT…..
It’s after l lost my aunt in 2019. It cut soo deep.S he was the closest person who reminded me of my dad, a loving soul who was selfless, who gave her all so others could have joy in the family and those traits were my father’s, I still miss her every day!
MY FIRST CD…
It’s the Celebration Choir “green cd” at a church function and whenever I went for holidays I would carry it with me and play it over the holidays. It was precious to me, I remember the song Ngatifare/let’s Celebrate.
MY FIRST PET….
Unfortunately, l didn’t get a chance to have one as mom would say who would look after it for me when I was at school, so I only played with my friends’ pets after school.
MY FIRST TIME RECORDING….
It was when I was in form 2/3 but it was a friend’s project so I was just a backing vocalist who was doing choruses and bridges for him, it was so good to hear myself from a radio 📻 or the speakers lols…
MY FIRST JOB…
It’s singing at HIFA in front of thousands of people when l was part of an Acapella ensemble brought together by a huge director from Bulawayo known as Simon Mambazo. We would be booked into hotels 🏨, travel with cast members, etc. It was such a surreal experience for me…
