Gospel artist Zenzo Sibanda Hlabathi, popularly known in the music circles as Psalmist Zenzo is set to release a single for the beginning of the year.
The single will be titled ‘He is able’.
The ‘Take all the Glory’ hit maker did not reveal to Zim GBC News when the single will hit the market but shed some light on what the new song is about.
“There are levels in life that we reach where we seem to lose hope and we think it’s too late to engage God. So the message is to inform people that God is able no matter how worse the circumstances may be in life.”said Psalmist Zenzo.
Hlabathi started his singing career in 2018 when he recorded his debut album ‘Its not over’. The following year he produced another album titled, ‘Kingdom Life’ followed by ‘Brand new world’ (2020) and his last offering was ‘Works of Grace’ in 2021.
In an exclusive interview with Zim GBC News, Psalmist Zenzo highlighted challenges he has faced as an artist.
“As an upcoming Gospel Artist, there are financial constraints. Recording one song needs one to engage with professional producers to up the sound and quality. Due to lack of funds, we end up engaging the upcoming producers, since their service charge is quite affordable which therefore seriously affects sound and quality.”
Despite these constraints Hlabathi managed to record four albums in a space of four years. He has also done live video recordings at concerts and shows.
He expressed the love to feature some renowned gospel artists like Minister Michael Mahendere, Janet Manyowa and the Harvest House Music group. Internationally he is gunning for a feature with award winning gospel artists such as Dr. Tumi, Benjamin Dube and the Joyous Celebration Ensemble.
“Apart from music, I enjoy video filming and editing, playing soccer and listening to other works from several artists. Music was one of my favorite hobbies when I was young and since I am a Christian gospel music related to my everyday life, ”concluded Psalmist Zenzo .
