AMAPANTSULA AJAHILE TO PROMOTE CULTURAL UNITY

MOSI-OA-TUNYA based Division Two outfit, Nakaluba Warriors Football Club has emerged as one of the biggest talent conveyor belt in Matabeleland North and beyond.

According to its coach Albert Mudimba, Nakaluba Warriors FC is a club that does not discriminate on race, tribe and creed in their mission to build a good football foundation for Matabeleland North and Zimbabwe as a whole. Mudimba works with administrators like Lovemore Sibanda who is the Chairman, secretary Mbongeni Mloyi and Danisa Khumalo who is the vice chairman of this football nursery.

“We as a club, we believe in adding different cultures to the team. This is why we take players from various provinces in the country such as Harare and Bulawayo to promote a culture of understanding between various tribes. This will make life easier for players to find life welcoming when they play in other regions some day.” Said Mudimba.

Nakaluba Warriors Football Club are based in the oldest high density suburb in the city of Victoria Falls. Their colors are blue and white, and they are bankrolled by a local church.

“We have no sponsorship to get proper training equipment, refreshments and to keep the team steady financially. But We have since applied for sponsorship to various stakeholders and we managed to get help from our community church Harvest House International.” Said the former Corinthians FC and Trumus Warriors.

Nakaluba Warriors was founded in 2016 and ply their trade in the Second Division League. Last season, they finished in fourth-place.

“We are looking forward to the 2023 season. We have signed players like Andile Dube from Lupane (St. Lukes United FC), eighteen year old Nastie Mhembere from Irvines FC, Harare. Former street footballer Gift Gutu from Bulawayo and Charlos Chuma from Hwange side Super Diki FC.” Said the coach of Nakaluba Warriors who are also affectionately known as Amapantsula Ajahile.

In the past, the Chinotimba based side has produced players such as Mpumelelo Msipa, Misheck Nyamutowera who played for Division One side Hwange FC last year, Anelcker Mafayita, Prince kahilu, Nkosikhona Ncube, Prosper Sakara and Nicky Bhebhe who currently plays for Talen Vision.
