Chinhoyi University of Technology has been crowned the champions of the 2026 ZUS Chess Games Ladies Section held at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Bulawayo.
The Zimbabwe Chess Federation (ZCF) sent a big “checkmate‑sized” congratulations to the victorious team.
The university’s ladies chess team showcased strategic brilliance, executing sneaky forks and hypnotic queen moves that left opponents in a tight spot.
Their performance was more than just snacks at the campus – it was a display of tactical mastery that ensured their pawns always promoted and their clocks never flagged.
