As the 2023 elections draws nigh more violence is experienced across the country.
Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC) supporters are suffering at the hands of ruling party’s supporters as they are being assaulted day in and day out. by ZANU-PF supporters.
On November 30 two CCC supporters were left for dead in Binga’s Sigabuza Business Center after an attack by ZANU-PF activists.
Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP) confirmed that the victims were viciously attacked and are hospitalised at Binga District Hospital.
‘The victims are Delampuli from Fungula Village and Zuze Dube from Samende. They are admitted at Binga Hospital.”
The attackers were identified as George Chisambwa, Jamutias, Candidate Misheck Minded and MacDonald Siamwebo. They allegedly used logs and knobkieries to beat up their victims into pulp.
They also forcibly removed Member of Parliament for the District, Gabhuza’s son’s CCC t-shirt.
It is not known why the District Administrator Marinyane, a ZANUPF member was also beaten at Karinyame by the same group at 5pm.
The matter was reported to the police who could not. furnish more details when requested by this publication.
Violence is heating up everyday as the perpetrators walk free. This points to a bloody election season.
