La Liga giants FC Barcelona will join other big European teams in the belittled Europa League after they fell by the wayside in the hands of German Champions Bayern München during the flawless UEFA Champions League encounter on 26 October.

Bundesliga side Bayern München clinched their sixth consecutive win over Barcelona with 3 goals to nill. Speaking to Marca after the match, Xavi said,

“Today we have not reached their level, they have been better. In Munich it was us, but today they have been better, more intense. The elimination affected us psychologically. Tomorrow, we train and think about LaLiga. There were high expectations, we had a difficult group. Everything possible happened to us. It has been very cruel. We didn’t compete well today.”

The last six games between the two sides has seen Bayern scoring two goals or more past Catalona. Robert Lewandowski (Lewangoalski) who is rated amongst the best strikers, left the German Capital for Barcelona to increase his chances of winning the Ballon D’or could not do anything to save his newly found home.

Crossing over to the English Premier League teams, the Red Devils, Manchester United, have exited the Champions League. The Red Devils had already sealed their spot at the Europa League at the beginning of the current season prompting their overrated former player, Paul Pogba to move back to his former Club Juventus, before coming to Old Trafford hoping to play in the champions league. Unfortunately the greenery- yallery went dry.

The French national’s departure, saw the Old Trafford outfit signing the Brazilian Antony, who was told by his former side Ajax officials that he was making a mistake leaving a team which plays in the champions league. Twist of fate took its course, Ajax dropped down to the Europa League after suffering heavy losses.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was lucky enough to be saved by Chelsea.

While Tottenham Hotspur still has a chance of proceeding to the last sixteen, but this will only happen if they avoid a loss against Marseille next week Tuesday night.

Real Madrid are the only Spanish team to qualify to the knock out stages, Athletico Madrid and Sevilla will join Barca after Diego Simeone’s side failed to find a last minute winning goal when VAR awarded them a penalty in the 95th minute, Yannick Carrasco couldn’t beat Bayer Leverkusen goal keeper. The game then ended a 2:2 stalemate. Meanwhile, Sevilla bowed out of the Champions league with a 3:0 win over Copenhagen last night and the team will be somewhat much delighted to go back to their favorite league, where they’re the dominant team. But that might change this time around.

Other top teams which are part of the Europa League is the young formidable Arsenal side, Roma, Lazio, Shaktar amongst others
