Former Assistant Inspector Discharged Over Misconduct

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has officially discharged Simbarashe Mandizvidza, a former Assistant Inspector following allegations of misconduct and unbecoming behaviour.

In a statement, the ZRP announced that Mandizvidza was dismissed from the force on 3rd December 2025 duly constituted and appropriate administrative procedures were affected.

“The misconduct reportedly occurred on the 13th and 14th of August 2025”, said Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

The Zimbabwe Republic Pilice (ZRP) also reiterates that it does not tolerate criminal acts or misconduct by its members.

“The Commissioner-General of Police does not condone criminal acts and unruly conduct by police officers,” said Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

The move is part of the police service’s ongoing efforts to maintain discipline, accountability and professionalism within its ranks.
