Zim GBC News | It’s a Bizzare World
A 58-year-old man in Brest, France, has been charged with a series of horrific crimes after admitting to fathering three children with his own daughter and forcing his 11-year-old son to have sex with her, in a case prosecutors have described as reminiscent of Austrian criminal Josef Fritzl.
According to French media reports and court officials, the man allegedly drugged his 33-year-old daughter with anti-psychotic medication, raped her over several years, and fathered her three children. The situation came to light after the man’s 11-year-old son made disturbing comments about the family’s relationships.
“The report described an incestuous atmosphere, violence and deviance within the family,” stated the Brest public prosecutor’s office, confirming the investigation.
The son told authorities he had been forced to have sex with his biological mother. Following this disclosure, child protection services placed the 11-year-old boy and his two eight-year-old twin sisters into foster care.
The father now faces severe charges, including aggravated incestuous rape, rape with the administration of a substance without the victim’s knowledge, and corruption of a minor. He has been placed in pre-trial detention.
While identified as a primary victim, the 33-year-old daughter has also been taken into custody. She faces charges of habitual violence against a minor under 15 and corruption of a minor, though she has not been placed under formal arrest.
Prosecutors have drawn parallels between this case and that of Josef Fritzl, who was jailed in 2009 for imprisoning his daughter in a cellar for 24 years and fathering seven children with her.
The investigation in Brest continues as authorities untangle the full extent of the abuse.
