Jaydee Smallz, a talented producer, vocalist, songwriter, dancer, and camera operator from Upper Rangemore in Bulawayo, is making waves in the music industry.
Born Emaker Junior Dube, Jaydee Smallz started his music production journey in 2021, working with notable artists like Maask-Djy, Butholezwe, and Duduzane.
Growing up, Jaydee Smallz didn’t have access to professional studio equipment, but that didn’t stop him.
“I started production when I was 16 years old with just a desktop, mic, and home theater speakers,” he shares.
“Believing in what I am doing helped me a lot because now I have the studio equipment.”
But what drives Jaydee Smallz’s passion for music? It’s a family legacy.
“At first, I didn’t know the reason what made me love music, but then some of my siblings came this year and told me that my father used to be a musician before he died and my mom died too, so that is why music is my talent and that is why I’m producing,” he says.
With his unique sound and dedication, Jaydee Smallz is a name to watch in the Zimbabwean music scene.
