Bulawayo- A 31-year-old sales manager from Varun Beverages, Esther Manunure, appeared in court over charges of theft of trust property involving US$11,888.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manunure appeared before the Bulawayo Magistrates\u2019 Court following allegations that she used company funds for personal use. The incident allegedly occurred between 10 and 19 September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the court\u2019s case, Manunure was entrusted with products for resale and had the responsibility of collecting payments from clients and remitting them to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe reportedly collected US11,888 from clients and instead of submitting the money to her employer, she unlawfully converted the funds to her own use\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, none of the stolen funds have been recovered, and investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manunure was granted bail and was ordered not to interfere with witnesses. She was remanded to 16 October 2025 for further proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the case unfolds, it highlights the importance of trust and financial accountability in corporate roles. It also underscores the risks businesses face when employees in positions of responsibility abuse their access to company resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
