MASINGO \u2013 Zim GBC News has come up with disturbing allegations of a sexual encounter involving students at Masasi High School, which has sparked a police investigation and prompted the intervention of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident, which allegedly occurred in February during a lunch break, came to light after a video reportedly involving the students began circulating on social media platforms this past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources close to the investigation who spoke to Zim GBC News, initial claims that a female student was raped are being contested. A source within the community stated,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The girl was not raped. She was given $5 after they had agreed. They are both in Form Four.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police were swiftly dispatched to the school following the emergence of the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The police have already been here. The Provincial education office was here today,” a source revealed, indicating the seriousness with which authorities are treating the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is expected to conduct its own visit to the school imminently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further details from the investigation suggest the encounter may have been premeditated. A source explained,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The girl previously had someone arrested for making similar claims, who is now in prison. It is alleged that she told a young man, who was seen with her in the video wearing a white hat, that he was incapable alone and should bring a friend so they could ‘manage’ her together.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The source added,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The boy then came with a friend, which is why the video shows the incident taking place in a secluded area without signs of a struggle. The claim of rape does not hold; it appears this was a arranged situation that highlights a deeper moral problem.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, conflicting reports from another source describe the video’s content as deeply concerning, alleging that the young woman was coerced and that the acts were not consensual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the time of publication, police officials had not yet released an official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case has caused significant anxiety within the school community, with many awaiting the findings of the official investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile the police have arrested the two juveniles who were involved is the sexual assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
