BULAWAYO \u2013 A 26-year-old Iminyela man has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to stabbing his twin brother twice in the head during a violent argument over leftover isitshwala and chicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maqhawe Ncube appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Archie Wochiwunga on physical abuse charges following the July 23 incident that left his brother, Mabutho Ncube, with serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prosecutor Audrey Kufandikanwe detailed the altercation to the court:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“On that date, Maqhawe and his twin brother, Mabutho Ncube, were at their residence when an argument broke out over leftover isitshwala and chicken. In a fit of anger, the accused grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his brother twice on the head.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court heard that the violent confrontation occurred around 7PM at their family home. Following the attack, Mabutho sustained deep cuts and was rushed to medical facilities for emergency treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police investigations led to Maqhawe’s arrest, and he has been remanded in custody until tomorrow for sentencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
