In a collaborative effort to bring a wetland to life, the National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe and the Friends of Matobo National History Museum are calling on volunteers to join a community work day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event aims to set up Bulawayo’s first Living Wetland Display, a hands-on, nature-based learning space for all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The community work day is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Museum in Bulawayo. Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks, including building a viewing platform, landscaping the area, and clearing the space. Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, hats, water bottles, and shovels or hoes if available. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Living Wetland Display promises to be an engaging and educational experience, offering a unique opportunity for the community to come together and learn about the importance of wetlands. By volunteering, individuals can contribute to the creation of a valuable resource that will benefit the community for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
