BULAWAYO \u2013 A family was terrorized by four masked gunmen who ambushed them at their Emganwini home on Monday, fleeing with US$3,290, 250 rand, and the victims\u2019 white Nissan Caravan, police confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The harrowing attack unfolded around 7 PM as the 39-year-old homeowner, his 36-year-old wife, and their 22-year-old nephew returned to their residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Bulawayo Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, the assailants \u2013 faces obscured by balaclavas and armed with a pistol \u2013 stormed the property moments after the family parked their vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBefore they could secure their gate, the accused ordered the trio to disembark. One suspect reversed the Nissan Caravan and parked it outside, while the other three force-marched the family into the house,\u201d Inspector Msebele told Zim GBC News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside, the robbers demanded cash, seized the money, then locked all three victims in a bedroom before escaping in the stolen vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victims were later freed by neighbors, who alerted police. Inspector Msebele issued urgent safety advice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe urge the public not to carry large sums of cash, avoid disclosing financial movements, and remain vigilant for suspicious followers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A manhunt for the quartet is underway, with police appealing for tips to trace the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
