The sancticty of life is fast eroding in the human race as 28 year old man from Mutoko has been arrested on allegations of murdering his mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jephat Nyakutura (28) who hails from Maruza Village under Chief Nyamukoho is alleged to have gruesomely murdered his own mother in jaw dropping circumstances that depict a spine chilling horror movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nyakutura beheaded his 65 year old mother Juliet Chapfuruka, burnt her body beyond recognition before burying her remains in a shallow grave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Zimbabwe Republic Police report that,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPolice arrested a suspect who is believed to be a mental patient in connection with the murder of his biological mother. The deceased\u2019s body was exhumed from a shallow grave in a decomposing state. We urge those who are in custody of mental patients to make sure that they get their medication as prescribed,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mashonaland East provincial police spokesperson Simon Chazovachii confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect is currently in police custody over the gruesome murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further details reveal that on February 2 in the afternoon, Serinah Chitonho (43), a neighbour, visited the deceased\u2019s homestead after realising that she has had not seen her for some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When she arrived at the place she found the suspect alone at home and inquired on the whereabouts of his mother, but she did not get a satisfactory answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chitonho was very suspicious about the disappearance of her neighbour, thus she went on to inform the deceased\u2019s relative Persuade Mvundura about the issue, and a search was instituted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The search team came across a fresh grave about 50m from the homestead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They dug the grave and exhumed a body with a head missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police were immediately informed and they attended the scene. They were ‘welcomed’ by a body that had been burnt beyond recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police searched for the missing head and found a human jaw, grey hair and teeth about 60m from the grave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There also was a place where a fire had been made near the grave, which could have been used to burn the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chapfuruka\u2019s body was taken to Kotwa Hospital for post-mortem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
