{"id":4469,"date":"2024-10-02T12:53:13","date_gmt":"2024-10-02T12:53:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=4469"},"modified":"2024-10-02T12:53:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T12:53:59","slug":"huge-amount-of-money-siezed-from-zimbo-in-the-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=4469","title":{"rendered":"Huge Amount of Money Siezed From Zimbo in the UK"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br>International Correspondent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UK authorities have seized over $300,000 from Phillimon Makekera, a Zimbabwean businessman who runs The Partnership Healthcare Group Ltd, a medical recruitment agency connecting personnel with healthcare facilities and care homes in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makekera allegedly scammed Nigerians and Zimbabweans seeking certificates of sponsorship, prompting the UK police to freeze his personal and company bank accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Northamptonshire Police stated,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Financial Investigation Unit has secured an Account Forfeiture order\u2026 against a bank account held in the name of The Partnership Healthcare Group Ltd and the sole Director, Mr Phillimon Makekera.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police also noted that the funds in Makekera&#8217;s accounts were &#8220;proceeds of criminal activities&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makekera, who has lived in the UK for over a decade, holds a Master&#8217;s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Gloucestershire.
