Zimbabwean music fans have turned their backs on once popular rapper Holy Ten, with his social media following taking a drastic hit in recent weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fall from grace comes after the young artist’s perceived pride and arrogance began to overshadow his music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born Mukudzei Chitsama in November 1998, Holy Ten is a Zimbabwean Sungura, song writer and music producer and nicknamed “Mujaya” by fans, is a hiphop artist as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Known for his sharp lyrics and catchy beats, he had built a massive following in Zimbabwe and beyond. However, his increasingly boastful and dismissive attitude towards fans and fellow artists has led to a downward spiral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I used to be a huge fan of Holy Ten, but his constant bragging and disrespect towards others has turned me off. It’s like he’s forgotten where he came from.” said one digruntled fan Siza Mlambo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suddenly, the talented Zimbabwean rapper’s ego has landed him in murky waters nosediving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The self-proclaimed “KING” of the music scene fell flat on his face during a performance last week, leaving fans wondering if he’s been “smoking his own supply.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Mina I think uBaba Ju kukhona asekuthatha cause his behaviour of late tells a lot and him falling on the stage reminds us abo Costa Titch. Kakhuzwe kusemasinya. And as from that day he fall angisamthandi and I deleted his songs from my phone sephapha uHoly Ten.” said a fan who refused with their identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that’s not all Holy Ten has been losing followers faster than a bad habit from his social media handles and it’s all because of his pride. It seems his “holier-than-thou” attitude has finally caught up with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He liked dissing other artists thinking he’s perfect forgetting that everyone has their own mistakes and that included him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has thrown salvos and spoke ill of Winky D, Enzo Ishal, Saintfloew, “thats being too forward”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And to add salt to injury, his former prot\u00e9g\u00e9 Saintflow has just signed with Virgin Records one of the biggest labels worldwide!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talk about a “mic drop” moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holy Ten had previously dissed Saintflow, saying he was nothing without him. But it looks like Saintflow is having the last laugh after all – all the way to the bank!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Saintfloew ahasi chunu ndini ndakamusimudzira, ndakamubvisa kumusha achiita zvema drugs ikozvino akuda kuzvedza se arinani” those were Holy Ten’s words before Saintfloew signed up with Virgin Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mandla Mazet, a fan put it across,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Holy Ten’s ego was his biggest enemy, and now he’s just a footnote in the music industry.” Ouch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looks like someone needs to take a “humble pill” and get back to making music instead of enemies. Until then, we’ll just be over here enjoying the “saintly” sounds of Saintflow’s success!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Am sure Holy Ten’s team is trying to do damage control, but it’s too little, too late. The writing’s on the wall – or in this case, the stage floor”, said Zinhle Sibanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As one industry insider put it, “Holy Ten’s downfall is a classic case of ‘pride comes before a fall.’ He forgot that in the music industry, you’re only as good as your last hit.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And speaking of hits, Saintflow’s latest single is topping the charts, while Holy Ten’s last release has been met with critics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s time for Holy Ten to take a step back, reassess his priorities, and remember why he started making music in the first place. Until then, we’ll just be over here enjoying the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
