{"id":4002,"date":"2024-08-26T15:35:10","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T15:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=4002"},"modified":"2024-08-26T15:35:12","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T15:35:12","slug":"zimbabwe-government-aims-to-rehabilitate-national-sports-stadium-by-end-of-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=4002","title":{"rendered":"Zimbabwe Government Aims to Rehabilitate National Sports Stadium by End of 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br>Sports Reporter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zimbabwean government, through the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC), is working to rehabilitate the National Sports Stadium to meet CAF standards by 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are happy to report that the first batch of bucket seats is now in Beira, ready for transporting to Zimbabwe,&#8221; said SRC board chairman Gerald Mlotshwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are working to ascertain the timeframes for transportation to give accurate information.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mlotshwa expressed confidence in completing the work by December 2023, despite acknowledging significant work is still required on the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director-general Elta Nengomasha added,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;While we await the full complement of bucket seats, work has been progressing in other areas.
