A former Zimbabwean police superintendent, Francis Matsika, died after using a concoction of milk and salt to treat erectile dysfunction, according to a police memo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He believed the mixture would help him with his erectile dysfunction,” said Blessing Zuva, Matsika’s lover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He instructed me to mix the milk with salt before we had sex.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matsika, 57, collapsed and died on August 19, 2024, after taking the concoction during a visit to Zuva’s home in Chitungwiza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I didn’t think it would harm him,” Zuva said. “We had sex twice, and then he started gasping for air and collapsed.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police found Matsika’s body on the bed, covered with a brown bedcover, with no visible injuries. A pot with milk residue was found in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The exact cause of death is still unknown, and a post-mortem examination is pending,” said a police spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case is being handled by ZRP Zengeza under RRB 6071208.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
