A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged defilement of his girlfriend’s 4-year-old daughter for more than a year in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We received a distress call from the community on Sunday, July 28, 2024, and our Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene,” said Prem Balram, spokesperson for Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA). “Upon arrival, we were met with a horrific scene. The suspect had allegedly been raping his girlfriend’s daughter for over a year, and the community was outraged.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect and his girlfriend were at a party at a neighbor’s house on Saturday night when he excused himself without warning. His girlfriend returned home to find him naked and attempting to rape her daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“She called out for help, but the suspect brutally assaulted her and the child before fleeing the scene,” said Balram. “The community was shocked and outraged by the suspect’s actions, and they apprehended him the following day.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect was arrested and detained at the South African Police Service (SAPS) Verulam. “We commend the community for their bravery in apprehending the suspect,” said Balram. “We will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The girlfriend, who wishes to remain anonymous, described the suspect’s actions as “pure evil.” “I had no idea he was capable of such a thing,” she said. “I’m just grateful that my daughter is safe, and I hope he gets the punishment he deserves.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case is currently under investigation, and the suspect is expected to appear in court soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
