{"id":3100,"date":"2024-02-21T16:26:47","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T16:26:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=3100"},"modified":"2024-03-08T06:07:27","modified_gmt":"2024-03-08T06:07:27","slug":"new-leadership-at-bosso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=3100","title":{"rendered":"New Leadership At Bosso"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Fabian Mudhegu-Sports Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 1926 formed Bulawayo soccer giants, Highlanders FC, ushered in a new leadership that was elected this past weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The posts up for grabs were that of Executive Chairman, Executive Secretary, and a Committee Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In preparation for the forthcoming 2024 Castle Larger Premiership season, anticipated to begin on February 24th, Bosso has been busy in transfer market evaluating players as well as changing its structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of its reorganization, former Jose Mourinho&#8217;s assistant, who was head coach at Mahlolanyama, Baltermar Brito, had been replaced as coach by Kelvin Kaindu, a Zambian coach.. Try Ncube was hired to assist Kaindu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be Kaindu&#8217;s second time at the Bosso dug out. After hanging his boots as a Highlanders FC player in 2011. Kaindu was in the thick of things on the coaching bench were he led the black and white legion to a second place finish in 2012 and 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He produced the longest unbeaten run record in the morden day football with 23 games without tasting defeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent weeks, the club has had conversations over contract extensions with promising young players in the likes of Prince Ndlovu and Gillian Nyathi. Agreements were achieved, and deals were struck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlanders FC strengthened their roaster for this season campaign by adding new players. The club welcomed several new players, including Reason Sibanda, Brian Ndlovu, and Brian Mlotshwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was tension during the election of a new leadership since they had to review curriculum vitaes that were turned in order to select better individuals to run for the positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most intriguing position was the Executive Chairperson one, where four well-known candidates competed for the post. Former chairman, Kenneth Mhlophe, ran against incumbent Johnfat Sibanda. The other two candidates were Nodumo Nyathi and Edson Dube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raeburn Nkosana Ndebele, Nsikelelo Mafa Moyo, and Morgen Dube ran for the post of Executive Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kindman Ndlovu and Bhekemuzi Sibanda were the two contestants for the role of Committee Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our source said that 165 out of the 356 voters cast ballots for Kenneth Mhlophe, the winner of the Executive Chairperson position.
