The Traditional Medical Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe has warned illegal abiding practitioners of traditional medicines not to practice outside the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The department has given up to the end of March for all traditional healers, faith healers including prophets and apostles , bishops, traditional birth attendants and spirit mediums, churches, local and foreign traditional medical association herbalist, herbal gardens, traditional wholesalers\/shop, distributors\/manufacturers of traditional medicines, traditional surgeries\/clinics, training institutions amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The council kindly informs practitioners to register with the TMPCZ of the Traditional Medical Practitioners Act Chapter 27:14 .”, said the TMPCZ through a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Chapter 27:14 part VI section 31 stipulates that any one practicing traditional healing or faith healing outside the law is liable to a fine not exceeding (US$400-00) or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two tears of to both such fine and such imprisonment.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We expect that, by the end of March 2023 all illegal practitioners will have registered and received practicing licenses”, reads the TMPCZ statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
