CHIVHU \u2013 Police in Chivhu have launched a manhunt for suspects who broke into a local primary school and stole 27 laptops from the institution\u2019s computer laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The break-in is believed to have occurred sometime between February 20 and February 25, 2026. The theft was only discovered when staff returned to the school, prompting a report to the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident and appealed to the public for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPolice in Chivhu are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of unlawful entry into premises and theft which occurred between February 20, 2026 and February 25, 2026, at a primary school,\u201d said Commissioner Nyathi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAn unknown suspect broke into the school computer laboratory and stole 27 laptops,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The loss of the laptops is a significant blow to the school, which relies on the equipment for teaching and learning. Authorities have urged anyone with information that might lead to the recovery of the devices and the arrest of the suspects to come forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnyone with information that might assist with investigations should contact the nearest police station,\u201d Commissioner Nyathi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
