Vincent Aboubakar became the African hero when Cameroon defeated five time World Champions, Brazil, in the last group stage game at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cameroonian forward scored the only goal of the game at Lusail Stadium to help the Indomitable Lions to became the first African country to defeat Brazil at a World Cup stage with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) recognising Aboubakar’s historical moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CAF has since paid homage to Cameroon’s Captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number 10 talisman from Cameroon was already on a yellow card before he headed home the winner. After scoring he took off his shirt and he was given a second yellow card, an automatic red card. The match official shaked the scorer’s hand and Aboubakar walked off the pitch with a smile on his face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goal came in stoppage time and Ngom Mbekeli provided the assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
