insignia as part of efforts to strengthen the national brand globally.

Officially opening the ZimTrade Annual Exporters Conference in Bulawayo on Friday, the President emphasised that building a strong national identity for Zimbabwean products was essential for the country’s export growth strategy and its Vision 2030 targets.

“The goal is clear; our country’s processed foods, beverages, engineering products, pharmaceuticals, steel and manufactured goods should carry the ‘Made in Zimbabwe’ insignia into all markets,” President Mnangagwa told delegates.

The President underscored that the branding initiative must be anchored on quality, value addition, and competitive manufacturing as Zimbabwe intensifies efforts to penetrate new markets and expand its export footprint.

He said Zimbabwean products, spanning from processed foods to heavy industry outputs, must deliberately reflect their country of origin as part of a strategic positioning of the nation as a reliable and competitive producer on the continent and beyond.

The call comes at a pivotal moment when the Second Republic is accelerating industrialisation, beneficiation, and value addition across key economic sectors in line with the country’s Vision 2030 agenda of achieving an upper-middle-income society.

Industry players attending the conference welcomed the President’s remarks, noting that a coordinated national branding effort could significantly enhance the competitiveness and recognition of Zimbabwean goods in export markets.

FOLLOW US FOR REAL-TIME UPDATES:

X (Twitter): @ZimGbc

Instagram: @ZimGBCNews

TikTok: @ZimGBCNews_01

Facebook: Zim GBC News

YouTube: Zim GBC News

Get real-time alerts on WhatsApp:
+263 773 820 323

For in-depth coverage, visit our website: www.zimgbcnews.co.zw

Zim GBC News | Global News From An African Perspective©2026

Innocent Sibonginkosi Ncube | Zim GBC News BULAWAYO – President Mnangagwa has issued a clarion call to local exporters to ensure all Zimbabwean goods entering regional and international markets boldly…
