In a significant boost to pediatric healthcare in Zimbabwe, the CURE Children\u2019s Hospital of Zimbabwe has announced the continued provision of completely free, life-changing surgical interventions for children from birth to 18 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Operating as a Christian non-profit in a public-private partnership with the Ministry of Health & Child Care, the hospital stands as a beacon of hope for families with children suffering from treatable physical disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital specializes in complex orthopaedic and plastic reconstructive surgeries, addressing a wide range of conditions that are often costly and difficult to treat. Their expertise covers corrective procedures for cleft lip and palate, burn contractures, clubfoot, and neglected trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, they manage bone conditions such as osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease) and limb deformities including knock knees, bowed legs, and windswept knees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond the operating theatre, CURE provides a comprehensive suite of supporting services essential for holistic care. These include outpatient consultations, anaesthesiology, diagnostic X-ray imaging, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, and crucial counselling services for patients and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A key point emphasised by the administration is that all services are free of charge but are by appointment only. This system ensures structured and efficient care delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital has called on families, guardians, and healthcare workers across the country to reach out if a child is in need of their specialised services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
