JOHANNESBURG \u2013 South African authorities have launched a manhunt for an individual who sparked widespread controversy and a police investigation after posting images of himself inside a shack surrounded by large quantities of cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The viral social media post, which shows the man posing with stacks of banknotes in a humble dwelling, has prompted an official inquiry into the origin of the money. Police confirmed that the source of the funds is currently unknown and stated that active investigations are underway to determine any potential links to criminal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a public statement, law enforcement encouraged the individual to come forward voluntarily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If the money was obtained legally, the man is encouraged to voluntarily visit the nearest police station to clarify its source and clear his name,” a police representative advised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
