In a candid statement released on social media, Promise Mkwananzi, a well-known opposition figure in Zimbabwe, detailed ongoing harassment and intimidation he faces from state security apparatus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mkwananzi, who has endured numerous arrests and trials, contended that his mere presence outside Harare instigates significant anxiety among state officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a recent visit to a small town near Harare, he learned that state security had mobilized extensively in response to his visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have come to be used to this,”
Mkwananzi noted, emphasizing the constant surveillance and harassment directed at him and his associates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He criticized the government for its attempts to undermine his position, claiming that agents have resorted to fabricating claims of outstanding arrest warrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the multiple claims of persecution, Mkwananzi reported being denied a passport last month, allegedly due to being placed on a stop-list, a designation typically reserved for individuals wanted by law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mkwananzi reflected on his long-standing commitment to the opposition, stating he has served as a spokesperson across various organizations, including the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) and the National Informal Economy Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described himself as a dedicated advocate for a new Zimbabwe led by President Nelson Chamisa, asserting,
“I am opposition through and through.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite facing skepticism regarding his capabilities, Mkwananzi articulated his influence, expressing confidence in his ability to mobilize citizens and lead impactful initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am a man of action and knowledge,”
he affirmed, stressing his loyalty to the cause and his opposition to the ruling party, ZANU PF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
