\u200eHuman rights activist Farai Maguwu placed the defeat in a wider national context, calling Zimbabwe \u201ca broken country\u201d where football is not treated as a priority. Despite condemnations of local stadiums years ago by CAF and FIFA, meaningful development remains absent.
