ACCRA \/ ELMINA \u2013 A Ghanaian prophet who prophesied a catastrophic, world-ending flood on December 25th, 2025, is facing intense scrutiny and allegations of fraud after his prediction failed to materialize and he was later seen acquiring a luxury Mercedes-Benz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enoch Ebo, a self-styled prophet, had claimed to receive a divine message warning of three years of nonstop rain beginning on Christmas Day. He urged followers to support the construction of arks for salvation, sharing videos of himself building large wooden boats in the coastal town of Elmina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve prayed, I\u2019ve fasted, I\u2019ve donated and I\u2019ve built,\u201d Enoch said in a recent video, explaining the failed prophecy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThrough my prayers, I had another vision\u2026 God has given us some time to build more arks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He attempted to calm his followers after the uneventful Christmas day, stating,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not selling tickets, I\u2019m not taking money from anyone, so please stay home, enjoy yourself, have fun.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, this claim is now under fire. Reports and viral social media photos indicate Enoch purchased a Mercedes-Benz valued at approximately $89,000 shortly after the postponed apocalypse. This has led to widespread accusations that he used donations, ostensibly collected to fund the ark project, to finance a lavish lifestyle instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prophecy had caused significant panic, with families relocating to be near the purported arks. In one incident, a furious follower, believing the prophecy to be a scam, set fire to a structure he mistakenly thought belonged to the prophet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fear was amplified by recent heavy rainfall in parts of Ghana, which lent a superficial credibility to Enoch\u2019s flood warnings. While some devoted followers still believe the catastrophe has merely been delayed, public and online skepticism is growing rapidly in the wake of the luxury car revelation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities have not yet commented on whether any formal investigation into potential fraud will be launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
