Don’t do things just because others are doing them. It might not be your time, and you don’t know their journey. Start your own path. One day, others will will follow your lead.”

Mrs Chitewe added that resilience and patience are crucial, noting that,

“life comes with wins and losses but those who remain patient will surely enjoy the fruits in the end.”

The workshop focused on systematic approaches to team management. A central concept discussed was the use of a talent assessment matrix to evaluate employees based on their performance and potential.

Attendees were guided to categorise team members into groups such as growth employees with high potential, “future leaders ripe for advancement, and underperformers who may simply be in the wrong job.

“When you see such a person, reward and motivate. How do you reward? Commissions, bonuses and things like that, so that they stay on the job,” Mrs Chitewe advised.

A significant portion of the training stressed the importance of clear communication of a company’s core mission from the outset.

“When they come on board, do they understand the vision?. Without that understanding, we will have challenges,” Mrs Chitewe told participants.

The workshop positioned effective team leadership not merely as an operational task, but as a fundamental pillar for achieving business growth and higher profit margins.

Follow Zim GBC News for more:
·X (Twitter): @ZimGbc
·Instagram: @ZimGBCNews
·TikTok: @ZimGBCNews_01
·Facebook: Zim GBC News
·YouTube: Zim GBC News

Get real-time alerts on WhatsApp:
+263 773 820 323

For in-depth coverage, visit our website: www.zimgbcnews.co.zw

Zim GBC News | Global News From An African Perspective©2025

By Dennis Ndlovu| Zim GBC News In a transformative Bulawayo business workshop, women entrepreneurs were urged to trade comparison for conviction, embracing their unique professional journeys as the ultimate blueprint…

[11

post-11430","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business-news
["GET
