BULAWAYO \u2013 A 30-year-old man from Queenspark East, Mgcini Ndlovu has appeared before the court facing charges of assault following a violent altercation that took place at the Queenspark east shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the court\u2019s case, the incident took place on 24 November 2025, where Ndlovu allegedly attacked another man, Zwelibanzi Ncube (40) during a confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is alleged that during the confrontation, Ndlovu assaulted Ncube by slapping him with open hands, punched him several times with clenched fists, and kicked him all over the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNcube sustained some bruises on the left eye, shoulder and forehead where he was medically examined\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state alleges that Ndlovu acted unlawfully, intending to cause bodily harm or knowing there was a real risk that harm could result from his actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ndlovu has been charged with the crime of assault under Section 89(1)(a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act [Chapter 9:23].<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case has sparked concern within the local community, with calls for peaceful conflict resolution and stronger measures against violence in public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
