The SRC strongly advocated for proven prevention strategies, including consistent condom use, limiting sexual partners, and regular health screenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAwareness and education are our best tools,\u201d the SRC emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe encourage everyone to engage in regular health screenings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Focus was placed on several common infections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 Genital Warts: Caused by HPV, these were highlighted as manageable with proper treatment.<br>\u00b7 Gonorrhea: Noted to be on the rise, this bacterial infection can lead to severe complications if untreated. \u201cGonorrhea is on the rise in many communities,\u201d observed Kumbana, a Zim GBC Reporter.<br>\u00b7 Chlamydia: Often symptomless, the SRC and a supporting nurse from Mpilo Hospital stressed the vital need for testing, as undiagnosed cases can cause significant damage.<br>\u00b7 Herpes: Described as a manageable lifelong condition where awareness is key to preventing transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The community\u2019s response was positive and engaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s event shows the power of community involvement in health awareness,\u201d said a resident from Mokokoba who attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s inspiring to see people gather to learn and share knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the event concluded, participants were urged to keep the conversation alive and take proactive steps in their healthcare.
