As schools prepare to open for the 2026 academic year, a heartwarming community campaign is underway to ensure no child is left behind due to lack of basic school supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative, themed \u201cEquip Young Minds, Empower a Sustainable Tomorrow,\u201d is collecting stationery to support disadvantaged learners while promoting eco-conscious education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Driven by a passion for giving back, the initiative is being led by a young organizer who has turned a personal milestone into a mission of impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI’m looking for stationery so that I can go donate it to less privileged children. This is part of my birthday celebration. I usually celebrate my birthday at an orphanage, but this time I want to do something different. I just want to source stationery donations so I can put a smile on other children\u2019s faces,\u201d said the campaign\u2019s founder Lorraine Mheyamwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donation drive is calling on well-wishers to contribute pens, pencils, notebooks, rulers, and other essential learning tools. These will be distributed to children in rural and vulnerable communities before schools reopen in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
