Simphiwe \u201cSimz\u201d Masuku is more than just a musician he is a storyteller, road journalist, and voice for change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, he began his creative journey through spoken word before moving into music to reach wider audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI sing what I feel in order for me to feel what I sing,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This simple but powerful statement guides his work, which touches on social issues, mental health, and personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond music, Simz is passionate about road safety. Through road journalism, he documents transport challenges and promotes safe driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His background in Computer Forensics also helps him in music production and digital content creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But his path hasn\u2019t been easy. One of his biggest struggles is fair pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMany employers and event organisers breach agreements, knowing artists often rely on relationships instead of legal protection,\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This makes it hard to balance making a living while staying true to his art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support from his community has been encouraging but limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMost people begin to pay attention once they see success elsewhere,\u201d he admits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still, he stays motivated from within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere was always a voice in me that kept speaking even when I tried to ignore it. My struggles have become the message behind my art.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family and friends have offered some support along the way, and he believes mindsets are slowly changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through it all, Simz remains committed to using music and media to heal, connect, and inspire \u2014 one honest story at a time<\/p>\n\n\n\n
