As President Emmerson Mnangagwa put it, this strategy is about \u201cpositioning Zimbabwe as a leader in technological advancement in Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A major focus is on teamwork with the private sector. The government is calling on businesses to lead the charge in creating new AI tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe future of our economy lies in collaboration with the private sector,\u201d said Minister of Information Communication Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He believes that by working together, they can develop solutions for local problems that could also make a global impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the national AI push, digital agriculture is set to modernize Zimbabwe\u2019s farming industry. Since agriculture is vital to the country&#8217;s economy, using AI and digital tools can lead to bigger harvests and more sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Farmers are increasingly adopting data-driven methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDigital agriculture is not just a trend; it\u2019s a necessity,\u201d explains agricultural scientist .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith AI, we can forecast weather, use resources like water and fertilizer more wisely, and significantly increase how much we grow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The powerful combination of AI and agriculture is expected to be a significant engine for economic growth. As the government supports these digital innovations, the benefits are likely to spread to other critical areas like healthcare, education and transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAI can streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies,\u201d stated an economist . \u201cThis strategy is about creating a more inclusive economy where technology benefits everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zimbabwe&#8217;s future looks bright as it moves forward with this dual focus on AI and digital farming.
