{"id":10610,"date":"2025-10-29T08:50:25","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T08:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=10610"},"modified":"2025-10-29T08:50:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T08:50:26","slug":"rising-star-okamasekos-afro-fusion-sound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zimgbcnews.co.zw\/?p=10610","title":{"rendered":"Rising Star: OkaMaseko&#8217;s Afro-Fusion Sound"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Ashley Dean Misho | Arts and Entertainment Reporter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tsepo OkaMaseko, a 27-year-old Afro-fusion musician from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is making a name for himself in the country&#8217;s music scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born and raised in this vibrant city, OkaMaseko discovered his passion for music at a young age, singing in his church choir at just 10 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As he grew older, his passion only intensified, leading him to pursue a career in music at 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OkaMaseko&#8217;s hard work paid off when he won an award in a competition organized by CITE, followed by a third-place finish in the Voice2Rep competition in Harare in 2022. Since then, he&#8217;s been actively producing and releasing Afro-fusion music that resonates with his fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His music tackles meaningful themes, from spiritual growth in &#8220;Emafin&#8221; to personal struggles in &#8220;Insuku&#8221;.
